Self Branding
Who am I? That’s the first question I had to ask myself when faced with creating a monogram for my” brand”. Creating monograms as a process involved endless word lists, color pallets and mood boards. As a person, we are so many different things, it’s hard to narrow it down in order to make a logical design. The final words I chose to describe myself and my aesthetic really hit the nail on the head. I am interested in comfortable, elegant design that lets the viewer breath. While I am a fan of minimalism, I found humor in the fact that I am almost minimal.
Knightly Brewed
Knightly Brewed is a robust coffee that never backs down from a challenge. Encompassing the unattainable attributes of a knight, its unyielding flavor and aroma will give you energy to get through your toughest battles. My brand embodies the mystery of the dark with a body and flavor strong enough to fuel the warriors of the night.
I worked on developing a new coffee brand. I started by analyzing brands already on the market and how I could differentiate mine. I noticed most brand are targeted towards morning people so I wanted to look at customers who battle their way through the night. Thus Knightly Brewed was born. I had to really focus on what elements made up the brand and what it stood for. I wanted it to be strong and mysterious to represent the night dwellers. I started with more experimental water color studies to make creatures but I realized the potential of a pun. Mixing knights with night drove my aesthetic direction.
